Mastodon does not foster serendipity. I think this is an actual problem for relevance that runs deeper than excluding mainstream culture resonance. The cultural dissemination of *all* novel experience is filtered through a self-selection bias.

Exposure to nerdy, informed takes on fashion might inspire readers to epiphanies from History Mastodon or Material Science Mastodon etc. I miss that.
