     @JonnyFever @EdBoatConnoisseur @nikiboo IDK WTF it is, I just kept it as an exhibit on what a “cutter” is since boomers never understand what to look out for. You’d think the fad died out w/ emo, but it’s still lurking around teen circles from the sound of it. Tiktok is really keeping nasty stuff going.

     The olds really DON’T know how many things they need to be looking out for all the time.

I thought it would have died off as a thing 10+ years back, but my niece started telling me all about how her friends were cutters now. It’s a bummer, too, sounds like a couple are all keloiding from it so they now have permanent earthworms all over their body

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @EdBoatConnoisseur @nikiboo I’ve seen it in a small pocket of “middle school/lower classmen high school girls whose parents let them have phones and spend more time in the counselor’s office than in the classroom.”

     It’s a small niche, but it’s diabolical how fucked up those kids are. On the flipside: I’ve never seen a teenager whose parents didn’t let them have a cell phone who wasn’t an A/B-tier student with solid physical/mental health. The kids without phones are the ubermensch of tomorrow.
