@aral The guy now revealing the gun now is merely revealing the paradigm that has existed since the end of WW2, just perhaps Europe thought they were willing participating in it.

@napocornejo Not personally a fan of militaries but, yes, given the world we have (where we clearly haven’t progressed further than the playground bully philosophy of “might makes right”), I’d rather we can hold our own against fascism.
The problem with having a powerful army, as the US is now finding out, is that if the government turns fascist, it becomes a hostage situation.
