     actually i hate updating when glibc or gcc needs to update, those take a comically long time to compile

     @theorytoe plan 9 compiler takes like 3 seconds to compile, and gcc takes 3 years to compile

     @theorytoe also clang takes like an hour or two to compile, don't have both on your system especially when the Gentoo people demand you recompile all of your packages because of profile updates

     @nyanide glibc or gcc take a while to compile, but not too long.
     
     ccache speeds the compilation process up a lot, as most of the files are the same on upadte.
