@queserasera The Milky Way can be seen from anywhere that is not polluted by light. Light pollution maps are helpful in that case, e.g.: https://www.lightpollutionmap.info/#zoom=8.35&lat=-37.9181&lon=145.1386&state=eyJiYXNlbWFwIjoiTGF5ZXJCaW5nUm9hZCIsIm92ZXJsYXkiOiJ3YV8yMDE1Iiwib3ZlcmxheWNvbG9yIjpmYWxzZSwib3ZlcmxheW9wYWNpdHkiOjYwLCJmZWF0dXJlc29wYWNpdHkiOjg1fQ==

@arek Ha. Still stuck in lenses atm. My current ones are all narrow except one prime which is f1.8 but is 50mm

@queserasera Is it 50 mm for FF or APS-C?
In both cases will be fine, but it will be difficult to get enough space to compose it properly, you can take several photos and combine them into one image!

@queserasera
When comes to settings, this might be helpful https://www.lonelyspeck.com/milky-way-exposure-calculator/In my case each time I used these settings:
16 mm (eq: 24 mm for FF), f/1.4, ISO 800 and shutter speed from 7 to 10 seconds.Last tip, you have to focus manual (ideally with focus peaking feature), because cameras aren't capable to focus that far away. So you need to choose one bright star, place the camera so that this point is in the center of your view, and focus so that the star is as sharp as possible.
