     I wouldn't necessarily say she was sympathetic, but she could be considered to less unsympathetic than other villains.

     The mail villianess, Irina Spalko, was also shown in a sympathetic light, merely doing what she was doing because she wanted more and more knowledge for its own sake. Belloq, Toht, Donovan, Schneider, and the other SS and Wehrmacht in Raiders and Last Crusade were shown only to desire full control over the whole world, like cartoon villains.

     I'm going to still love the first three movies, if only because I personally can ignore the propaganda and focus on the adventure aspects. The last one is touching for me because of the Indiana reconnecting with his father, and all the times my relatives and I watched movies like IJ with my own dad.
     
     What I won't do is pretend it's a moral series with heackin' wholesome moments and a bangin' soundtrack, precisely because the propaganada it has showered on the West is too damaging for the good parts to outweigh the damage. I will definitely make my children wait until they are old enough and knowledgeable and discerning enough to watch it.

     @SuperSnekFriend @ArdainianRight @Drexler1933 It was a core early childhood memory for me, so it dredges up those irritating moral lessons dad would try to imbue. Bless his heart, he was trying to make sure I didn't watch things unthinkingly, but it inadvertently gave me a lot of zog programming deeper than I'd want a kid to have.

     IDK if I ever saw the third, he hated it, so it essentially didn't exist to me. I do like a good father-son thing, I'm getting weaker to the sappy stuff with time
