I didn't actually do many FE tweaks, but when I did, I just edited the minified JS directly. I still remember getting progressively more upset with the stupid clippy messages during the migration that took FSE down for nearly three days. "Hey, instead of telling them what query is taking this long, let's write 'Happy rabbits practice a cute behavior known as a "binky:" they jump in the air and twist and spin around!'" was moderately infuriating. It's like...my shit's broke because you made a migration that stops the world and you're telling me that rabbits jump in the air.
So I see the loading screen and it takes forever and it's worse than bopesox now and the message that someone thought would be funny once--but didn't count on someone seeing multiple times a day--is now associated with the mind-numbing wait that didn't previously exist.

Loading the timeline is still slower than the loading screen. That's the measurement I use. If the server can't provide the actual data I want fast enough, the loading screen does not matter to me. I wouldn't see anything meaningful anyway.New Janny in Town likes this. -
