     Boys and men today find solace in the idea of a monster girl because, in their fantasy, they can project not just the outlandish aspects like cute, expressive ears and floofly, soft tails, but more mundane things like enduring love and faithful attachment.

     Our available field of dating options is so abysmal today, that when a boy thinks about his dream woman he can’t even draw upon fictional characters portrayed by celebrity women like his fathers did. Yankee media doesn’t even try to give them comforting fantasies, instead giving an endless parade of combative man-women usurping his traditional roles to the forced applause of society. The concept of deep, unwavering love and fidelity in an IRL girl are so outlandish to him that he thinks that they could only exist in a fantasy already. It’s sad to think that “girl who loves me a ton” is only considered a trustworthy characteristic when it’s a programmed instinct, a hardwired part of this fantasy being that could actually love you not because she’s a woman, but because she’s got powerful, immutable animal instincts.

     “My dream woman would love me fiercely and enthusiastically prepare to start a family and be a wonderful mother to our children….haha while I’m at it, I might as well give her 80 square feet of floofy fox tails and some giant, adorable ears, too, right?”

     And that’s leaving out the very obvious aspects, being that they’re cute, and imagining the overlap between humanity and adorable pets’ body language is comforting. We love petting dogs, and girls, so naturally a dog-girl would combine the best of both worlds! And since she’s got dog instincts, you can trust she won’t cheat on you!

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Riamu Fascinating. I think the obsession with step-porn comes from a similar fantasy where people are projecting the desire for unconditional love onto the taboo. Monster girls are far healthier in this respect.
