Before you said they came from Rome, look at the Gothic and Baroque eras. As Spengler said, Rome died with the split of the empire, Europeans only tried to claim they're descendants of the Roman civilization in the Renaissance.

     The system of government is Christian, most of the time, only recently it changed. Architecture? Nothing, see the buildings of today and compare them to Roman buildings. The calendar thing? It was made by Julius Caesar then improved by the Pope, unless you're Orthodox you can't say you follow the system of Caesar. Rome died, her legacies exist, but not as good nor many as you think. It's the fault of Renaissance fags and enlightenment retards that they remain. Read Spengler man, it's going to be good.

     @MK2boogaloo @Cyrillic @Paultron @flux_the_cat I never said it was better then now in all ways, I believe The Old Ways (Learnt that term today and prefer it personally to Pagan, same reason I dislike Nazi (infact literally the exact same one lol) ) is better then Christianity for a myriad of reasons, But somethings are better and some are worst, that's the advancement of the times, but the system of government isn't Christian, it's secular and heavily based on the Roman system, Architecture is based on Greco-Roman stuff, it's not Christian either, The calendar putting the whole AD and BC thing asides has HEAVY Pagan influence, with months named for Emperor's and the like, so to do the days of the week being named for various gods, Rome did die, but her legacy remains.

     HRE? Heavily Christian, not only Germans but also included Italians, Frenchs, Wallonians, Dutch, Bohemians etc. It was definitely a good system to live in, but it's good because it was Christian and was supported heavily by the Papacy.
