@graf well insurance companies DO look at forecasts and if they see a perfect storm, like drought, high winds, etc. they will pull shit like that. tbh they should be lined up and shot but wont happen. -

@Heil_Honkler @graf I can only speak from a life insurance perspective but I can confirm the underwriters and actuaries do look at a lot of different variables.
Was anyone ringing the alarm bells about the resovoir being empty a few months ago? -

fucking wild. cant imagine having fire insurance canceled on my mom a week before a freak, 0% contained uncontrollable wildfire with no water from hydrants because the reservoirs weren't filled
