True, but would Americans actually lift a finger to do anything about it? No, they'd just complain on Twitter while watching Netflix and ordering DoorDash.

Colonels are willing to be shot down over Iran and meet certain death so I could see a situation develop where after a strike with a lot of losses any sorties would be dialed back so that only low risk and long rang, (therefore low payload) pin-prick strikes will be the only ones flown, drastically cutting their effectiveness. -

When has the officer corps in recent history been shown to be willing to shed their blood, (as fighter pilots are all officers)?
The political establishment of the US military is the one who loses credibility in the face of their high-tech toys being turned to scrap. -
gentoobro (gentoobro@shitpost.cloud)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 15:30:55 JST gentoobro Yes, yes they would. The current generals are retarded. The least retarded of them would have been fired by George Marshall on his first day.

The LT Colonels will follow orders and fly to their deaths. They have before, and the modern military is more cucked than before.

Even then, the morale of US troops wasn't the greatest in WW2 according to honest reports. And even worse in Vietnam. -
