@Paultron @deprecated_ii the brits got eton, americans got harvard, most other places just get a job
-
@teto @deprecated_ii I got the degree from North Central great plains community college and mini golf course
Turns out demonstrating being able to actually get things done on a deadline and a budget is worth more than the paper with a fancy title at the negotiating table

@Paultron @deprecated_ii I dont really hear anyone doing uni in the US here. It's basically seen as useless unless youre super-elitist.

@teto @deprecated_ii tbh even here the nice schools are useless. No one remembers your schooling after your first job, the uber expensive joints like Harvard and Yale are just there for the children of wealthy system functionaries and politicians to network. The math and physics is the same everywhere

@deprecated_ii was a meme for a bit to do foreign exchange at German universities, but that was more for socialized gibs + a credible education
Haven't heard of anyone doing this for a bit

do the top colleges in other countries even let foreigners in
I ask because I never hear about anyone trying to go to e.g. the university of tokyo
