Q2: Trade wars heat up, Biden reveals dementia diagnosis, Ukraine talks collapse and war starts again
Q3: Some political assassination in the US (Not necessarily Trump, but possibly a cabinet member or senator), British government collapses, Zelenskyy either killed or forced out of power, Ukraine war ends
Q4: China makes a move on Taiwan, Syria balkanizes, Netanyahu forced out in Israel, China sanctions cause global recession
On that last point the whole of the Western economy is completely unprepared for a decoupling with China. Russia mostly weathered the sanctions forced on them, and China has enough of a domestic market and non-western trading partners to weather it's economic storm. -

I don't know why people keep predicting this. Unification has is no urgency whatsoever for the CCP. They can just wait out the decline of the US some more, naturally become the hegemon of east Asia and unite with Taiwan without firing a single shot. -

The only real reason for there to be urgency for the CCP to take Taiwan would be for an AI arms race to come to a head, and they need the semiconductor manufacturing, and/or to deprive the US of said capability. Outside of that, there's no reason not to wait. It's not a Russia/Ukraine situation. -

The only thing Taiwan has, is higher performance, more advanced chip manufacturing, but why should China need that, when they can have much more quantity (like their smartphones that have flooded the world) -

High-end performance can be what matters in terms of building the most advanced AI supercomputers. I dunno, I'm not an expert on the subject, but that's the only thing I can think of as to why China might go after Taiwan now.
