@ChristiJunior @realcaseyrollins @Rasterman @lethn @irie Fedi's resilience is mostly theoretical. Most of the time when someone's home instance shuts down they don't come back. All the big instances on our side of Fedi from like, 2021 and 2022 are dead (except Poast) and those people didn't come back.

It technically can't be shut down easily but if no one has a backup plan on a 2nd instance then the communities can disappear quickly.
