   @sun This reads like 90's liberal chauvenism. How did American education come to suck in the first place? How is it going to be fixed? Is it your problem? It sounds like you don't really have a problem with America as an economic zone, but how does that work out in the end?

     @griffith @sun The same corporations that demand that we hire H1-Bs because Americans are all stupid and lazy are the same ones that demand that workplaces don't reward American excellence and demand social competence and a careerist attitude at the expense of actual competence at your job. Vivek and Elon can bitch about people like you and me but the problem is their dinner party buddies. They'll never admit this, of course, because C-suiters are never, ever wrong, and because H1-Bs do save money, which is what they're really interested in.
