   Grim news coming out from the front everywhere. I don't think the moral is high enough for them to larp about counterattacks..There's been several white flag moments already. We're talking about above 100k soldiers leaving without a trace. No one knows about their current location.

     @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Wolffkran @Shlomo Not exactly. They expected Russia to go full 'war mode' and throw waves and waves of native Slavs against carefully reinforced fortifications, while wrecking their economy by putting it on a full military production footing.
     
     Instead, the Russians chose to painfully grind it out, making NATOids go on a war of attrition instead while fighting on the cheap with Donbass militia volunteers, mercenaries, and other expendables. While using the country as a testing ground for war materiel and an excuse to restructure their armed forces

     If they had run blitzkrieg for Kiev to make Ukraine capitulate this war would've been over years ago. Focusing on securing the land bridge to Crimea instead of doing that was a tactical blunder.

     @Hoss @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Shlomo @Wolffkran They tried that exact tactic very early on (2022) when they grabbed a bunch of territory and were on Kiev's outskirts. Two problems:
     
     >they didn't have anywhere near the amount of men required to take Kiev
     
     >they thought they had inside people in Kiev that they didn't. The assets that they thought they had were compromised or quickly killed
     
     So they were forced to retrench and go to Plan B. And here we are now. Sad. Shit happens.
