   If you guys hate journalists so much, how are you supposed to find out about other areas of the world other than from some dude retweeting in his basement. What constitutes truth at that point? Isn't there some point in having a journalistic profession? If no one is paid to write any articles of any depth it'll just be shitposting from the lowest common denominator. Shouldn't we pay people to write long in depth articles about stuff and have other people read them? It's like someone discovered that you could upload videos to youtube and decided "I hate all corporate singers! I hate all corporate movie makers! They're just shills! We can do this ourselves so there's no point in them anymore!" It seems tremendously short sighted.

     @PhenomX6 you can always block those accounts. But they show it don't they. That's all they ever show is war. Unless it's some other scandal going on.

     @peterweyand You don't understand, the people who hate journalists also hate the film industry. There are going to be meritorious exceptions to that hatred, but it is well deserved on the whole for both industries.

     @peterweyand The dude retweeting in his basement is a more reliable source of information because his whole profession doesn't revolve around lying on behalf of the regime. Hashing out what little truth can be gleaned from an ocean of autists and bullshitters is hard, but I still prefer it to listening to the people who piss on me and tell me it's raining.

     @peterweyand @balan Increasingly blunt political messaging and worsening quality. Same issues that plague every creative sector now whether it is film, literature, or videogames; it's clearly by design if you look into hiring patterns, content promoted despite financial losses to push agendas, and awards given to garbage content for social influence purposes.

     I've basically stopped reading news articles and I've never felt better informed.
