   I've accidentally created a file that can't be parsed in either json5 or hjson, because I'm trying to use features from both at once.

     I need multiline strings AND hex literals!

     maybe I need to switch to something else, like python.

     @foone pickle should do the job, but pickle have sharp edge. I would recommend against using it on anything but data type native to the standard library.

     my new DSL was created by renaming the file to config_patches.py and putting "PATCHES=" before the first { in the JSON

     parsing it is easy. don't install anything from pypi, just do "from config_patches import PATCHES"
