   @r000t For those who haven't seen it, Gamers Nexus just dropped a video calling out NZXT for their predatory gaming PC rental service, where you rent a gaming PC at an obscene rate. You'll spend as much in 8-10 months on rent payments as you would have spent just buying the computer, and you still won't even own the damn computer at the end of it.

   For a $2k computer, over 2 years you would pay $6k in rental fees, and you'd have nothing to sell at the end to subsidize your next upgrade. Buying with a credit card is still a bad financial decision, but also miles better than using this scam of a service.

     People absolutely love to cause themselves wholesale amounts of long term pain in order to not have to delay gratification. This is fractal... When the bill comes, it's easier to pay it than to go through the effort to cancel the subscription. Subscription services live and die by this.
