     @Suiseiseki i'm using the plan9port ed, i think that is licensed under the em eye tee. so it's technically a bit older/newer, but of course this is all based off the concept of the original ed from the 70s

     Read the cheat sheet and un learn vim brain (what i'm doing rn) it makes it harder to use ed if you come from using vim.

     @dcc yeah, if you really want a weird Ed on steroids Sam is apparently just the thing for you, Ed's pretty dated now and terrible to use for modern codebases

     @dcc you don't write code and prefer the oldest solutions possible for anything. I'm not gonna write a long response to this, I would just be talking to a brick wall. Also systemd distros appear to omit Ed now
