I'm as skeptical as anyone about LLMs, but didn't a lot of people say the same thing about Google a decade or so ago?

Googles data centers back then also didn’t create a need for privately held nuclear power just to incorrectly guess the number of times the letter r appears in the word strawberry.

And as far as the incredible power consumption, yes, it's terrible. Wasn't saying otherwise. It's incredibly wasteful.
