   FLOSS politics and distro policies of big tech corporations: If you could afford to pay for a support contract for your biz, I would definitely recommend the top three paid support options in random order:

   1. SUSE
   2. RHEL
   3. Ubuntu

   They offer stability in LTS releases with sane defaults and good selections of packages for server usage, along with support and training. That is my honest opinion.

     Whatever you do, avoid Oracel, for your own peace of mind. LOL. They have a bad reputation and threaten to sue you even if you have the correct license for their product(s). They are the worst, with predatory practices and a strong army of lawyers. YMMV.

     Out of curiosity, why that order?

     RHEL has,the highest paid utilization followed by Ubuntu and then SLES.

     @travis It is crazy; they just assume everyone is guilty of not paying for their software. Most for-profit businesses don't take such risks. They have normalized harassment.

     @nixCraft And yet, they’re somehow better than Red Hat when it comes to Linux. They’re not locking up source code… but good lord I’m tired of telling their License Police to pound sand when it comes to Java. It’s borderline harassment/stalking at this point.
