     Build a calculator, it's shit and someone already built one. Why are you building a calculator?

     End up just looking and modifying code that already exists for projects that already exist because no one ever teaches you anything more advanced than arithmetic operations.

     It's considered plagiarism (it is). Standard policy in scholastic institutions. Not just C but my media class was like that for HTML and CSS.

     No I don't mean SQL. That's easy.

     I mean concepts I'm supposed to learn like data modeling, schema, normalization (whatever tf that is).

     I already work with MySQL on a operator standpoint, but I don't have a damn clue on reasons why things are done the way they are in terms of why certain key values exist, and how they relate with other tables.

     Apparently there are a bunch of data visualization tools that exist that nobody bothered to tell me about (besides mysql workbench) but of course they talk about network sockets 🤓🤓🤓

     I'm gonna plug pleroma or mastodon's database and try to understand why they are arranged the way they are.

     @splitshockvirus ..I'm so confused, stack based calculators are part of university courses too, bc is just yet another one of those. You don't just copy bc's source code and call it yours obviously you're supposed to write it yourself, but they all function the exact same way..

     Of course they're all the same. Obviously don't copy the code. But did you even look at it code for reference? Did you look at anything similar for reference? If so you had more than I ever had.

     You might as well assume all code is proprietary and you cannot look at any of it outside what is printed for you in your text book.
