@janamarie i just wanted to respond to your original post to suggest it, but it's not that "hard" like the original leather on that camera looks like. we buy directly from ananas anam, back in the day you could just buy a meter from their online shop, maybe they still do that? there's also cactus leather (forgot the name) but we haven't tried it yet. cc @theawesomerandomness

Afterwards, I can of course re-glue it back to the body, however I could also replace it since it is a bit used up anyways. Now I was wondering, which material could I use here? What vegan leather-style materials are there? In what could I wrap the camera body? (not looking for anything super soft, furry or denim, rather something leathery)
