For the price they're asking for a Mac, I could easily build a good PC that could do everything I needed. You are NOT getting your money's worth with a Mac.
Their tablets and iPhones are overpriced as fuck too. I can easily get an Android that is just as powerful for less than the average cost of an iPhone :guraKekw:-

Apples standards for convenience have caused a competency crisis and have started bleeding into other products. -

Humans are animals of convenience. You're talking about the species that kills themselves slowly with fast food over cooking their own dinner because it takes less time in the short term.
If you think big tech companies aren't encouraging this money brain shit I have a bridge to sell you. -

Apple isn't at fault at all

They won't even fucking let you repair them. -
Johnny Peligro, now on Mitra! (mischievoustomato@mitra.taihou.website)'s status on Friday, 01-Nov-2024 01:48:41 JST Johnny Peligro, now on Mitra! @Kyonko802 @arcana @Ronnie21093 @SergeantCat Yes, because the old stuff is not old, it's still in computers. Sure, humans are animals of convenience, but if you have a school system that doesn't give a shit about teaching computer literacy at all, then people will only learn what they can manage to learn on their own. Computer usage should be a basic thing that is taught at school for everyone, even for people that don't really care about it

Everything is so streamlined and retard proof that you can't even do anything of merit.
Shit should be user friendly, but NOT to this level. They're progressively trying to make it like that stupid block game that children play and every major update make the deeper settings more obscure and harder to access. -

The real solution, that I still hold, is to have actual computer classes that are considered important.

1 - sometimes the place the files were supposed to go is not the place I want them to be
2 - there are many file types (usually the more obscure ones) that the system has no idea what to do with, and it will either put them in the wrong places, or put everything in a "dumpster" folder where a lot of different files will live together not organized
3 - many phone apps do their own thing and put files in their own folders instead of putting them where they are supposed to go, and then other apps aren't able to find them because they don't look into those folders
These are insurmountable problems for most iOS users, and the main reason why they get completely screwed when any app changes the way their "forward to" function works.Kyonko802 likes this. -
