     @RehnSturm256 @ChristiJunior @Daut Some anime still seem rather unconcerned with appealing to the anti-male gaze faggot audience. Bocchi I don't think so. Partly I feel this way because the same studio made Wonder Egg Priority, which was LGBTQ slop clearly written for westerners.

     @RehnSturm256 @ChristiJunior @Daut I almost want to go a step further and say they were targeting the global reddit/anitwit audience to begin with. The anime was so absurdly popular with those sorts I have to assume they engaged in a bit of astroturfing.

     @LittleTom @ChristiJunior @Daut yes. Just about every anime is targeting that crowd and being encouraged to do so. At best it is because the studios are innocently thinking that “Reddit/Twitter is the mainstream audience!” And at worse it is encouraged by outside forces.
