     @Hoss Need to get those yoga jeans the girls have. I thought they were gay but they have a good blend of not looking like lazy nigger pants and being comfy, so you don't look like a slob when you go outside to get the mail and end up helping the neighbor's project for 3 hours

     When I was in high school I had a pair of jeans with flannel lining inside. I should try to find another pair of those, real comfy for winter.

     @Hoss Classic blue collar workwear. These days I start my hunt for that stuff by asking the old guys in the fam if they have anything that would fit me, they're happy to offload it knowing they'll never be skinny again, I get stuff that was made before it was all dogshit

     I don't think I've bought a pair of normal civvie clothes in the last 10 years that lasted more than 5, it's shocking. I got lined costco pants last year, blew out at the belt loops

     @ElDeadKennedy @Hoss Every time I looked for cool clothes down there the prices seemed predatory. I always wanted to find the real native hookups where you get good materials and good prices, instead I only ever saw the tourist bait stuff priced like the first world.

     Even so I should have splurged, I kept telling myself I'd load up on all the fun gear on the next job, and then that job never came

     A rich buddy of mine conned me into buying a couple pairs of designer jeans before a double date. Still have 'em, but they both got holes in the knees long before my cheap jeans. Never doing that again.

     @Hoss @ElDeadKennedy Problem is that the guys who're good with their hands are closer to the cities, you won't find some magic artisan out in the chaco, so you need to supply them with patterns or something to copy, you're basically training them as much as commissioning them.

     I think overall you just need to be ready to spend first-world money if you want something good, and I wasn't getting paid enough for that. Our company basically left pay the same since the 80s, assuming the dollar would make up for it....but the dollar wasn't worth much - I can't imagine how much worse it is after all the recent headaches
