     @GoodBoyUV At least back then there was some self awareness among more prominent libs, hardly any went in for hysterics like they do today and you could still trust them to give you a (mostly) honest opinion.

     @PraxisOfEvil @GoodBoyUV We are missing out on that self-styled noble "Journalist" school of thought, the walter cronkites and such. It's naive and dumb, but at least they would put some effort into being fair to the viewers.

     Having hysterical women shrieking all the time is an upgrade from an acceleration standpoint, but man is it irritating

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @GoodBoyUV News didn't have "spin" for our parents generation, at least not like it is today. Back then these networks trusted that the viewers could make up their own minds on a story and not have to spell out for them how fascist/communist it was.

     @PraxisOfEvil @GoodBoyUV Now they're teaching that it was misguided to even have that little fig leaf of "both sidesism". I've talked to the journalism majors, they act like it's an ethics class now to say "well don't feel like you owe it to evil people to convey their side of the story"
