American high altitude fighters aren't a problem if you simply refuse to engage them. Not to mention they only became a problem from late 1943 onwards.

(in case it isn't clear, I despise the Bf109 for its shortcomings, but I admit it was a good fighter... but lacking the things like the Kommandogerat system present on the Fw190 makes the latter the clear victor.)
