   I agree that SocialHub would be a better place for Fediverse Ideas, but I didn't start that repo...
   @helge what do you think about @strypey 's suggestion ?

     These are very good points. Best ask @silverpill

     A sort of chicken/egg can be solved with the advice "just do it" and otherwise create a #FediIdea for it. 😜

     So many things are possible. But they depend on hands, not only brains. I mentioned the other day that do-ocracy is a kind of minimum state of collab before you can speak of a community.

     Community may evolve from do-ocracy, an emergent almost natural state, well-adapted (governance, procedures) to the needs of its participants.

     Also, being a repo doesn't seem to be helping us get eyes on Fediverse Ideas. The last 19 FI issues were opened by me. The last one by anyone else was 4 months ago. Very few of these have attracted any comment.

     More importantly, are developers the main target audience for FI? Isn't this something where we want "power users" to describe our pain points in careful detail, for the edification of devs? Making it a forum category instead of a repo may make it easier for non-devs to join in.

     Has that actually happened? Would crosslinking from FEP to FI forum category be almost as good?

     So they say. The events of the last week or 2 suggest otherwise.

     @strypey I think it is modeled to a similar repo at Github for "FOSS ideas". It is at Codeberg and not SocialHub for 2 reasons. Main one being that fedi ideas might lead to become FEP's and then they can cross-reference each other. Secondly many folks don't like to participate on a forum apparently, prefer a code forge.

     Hey @smallcircles, it just occurred to me to wonder, why is Fediverse Ideas a Codeberg repo? Couldn't it just as easily be a SocialHub category, like Fediversity? Then it could then be federated over AP, using Discourse forum federation, and people could follow and reply with their fediverse accounts.

     Thoughts?
