@Iffine @Dechi that's how every AAA project seems to turn out lately.
like I mentioned in a previous post, I really believe they drag out projects like this for job security reasons until the publisher forces something out. be it releasing the game as is or outsourcing to the cheapest common denominator.
developers only get paid while developing games, and considering how easy you could get sacked in this industry, it wouldn't surprise me if developers found this as a workaround for keeping their jobs for longer.
I mean have you ever noticed how games turned out shit as soon as "crunch" stopped being a thing?
