@teto this new regulation basically extends the rule to everything.
Previously you only needed age ratings if you wanted to release your game on consoles.
With this you'll have to have it rated if you want to sell in germany.
this means that small indie games will be gone too until they get rated.

@Meemoo im used to our gov overcomplicating things with beaurocracy. They just started extending it into online retail now. Unrated games were illegal here on store shelves since germans founded their first kingdoms, probably. I'm not sure if this will have an actual effect on me since I've never even seen an unrated steam game before, not even indie ones.

I've seen multiple clips of burgers sitting in cars while in Germany, being approached by Germans who ask them to turn off the engine of their car (because apparently it's illegal to have the engine turned on of you are not driving) while the engine was literally already turned off
