Which is metric since Nazis scientists are the almost solely the reason we went to the moon.-

Metric system is better than Imperial in nearly every way and the only good reason people who don't like can come up with is that they don't like it because they're set in their ways and don't want to learn something new. -

In mm you end up with odd numbers, harder to work with mentally when you’re tired and just wanna go home

Bill_Boone (bill_boone@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 16-Mar-2023 00:33:15 JST Bill_Boone @CatLord @GabeLakmann @merchantHelios Yup, cuz NASA never fucked up anything because because they were trying to be eurofags and using metric when good old fashioned imperial would have been perfectly fine :tongue_wink_fb: -

All the euros I’ve ever met were city fags. Traditionally, we have retained a lot more of that hands-on skill, if I had to guess. Haven’t heard of euros making nightstands or putting up 500-home subdivisions every year, in any case.
For longer distance stuff, I notice areas down south, who officially use metric actually don’t. I think there’s a mental aspect where humans don’t like the kilometer, it’s too short for them to ballpart distances. Lots of natives continued to use miles instead, because it just feels more natural to measure your pace with a longer, single unit

GabeLakmann (gabelakmann@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Thursday, 16-Mar-2023 00:39:16 JST GabeLakmann I was waiting for someone to mention division by 2, 3, 4, and 6 with the imperial system.
I think for people changing over this is an issue and I can definitely see why it would help but for those who grew up with metric I doubt it affects them much.
