     @Terry This is vindicating my disbelief that our weapons can sustain actual war operations for the duration of a conflict against a competent foe. If we were actually fighting off the 2nd world, then the navy would be scrambling to nigger-rig a fueling system to keep the aviation wings of those carriers going. This is the only refueler in the region, without them, your hornets have an expiration date

     @lethn @Terry are you.......trying to stump for chinks feeling "safe" and "welcomed" in the west? Who cares? Let them feel terror, discomfort, fear every second they exist in our lands, they have no interest in providing the same comforts to us when we visit.

     But, I can't hold chinks in contempt for taking every advantage our masters offer them so freely. Even soulless bugmen deserve the basic dignity of self-interest.

     Our entire system is basically built around the tacit ideal that real, genuine war between the big nations will never happen, that at the very most it will be limited to proxy conflicts like ukraine. There's no urgency, no concern about actually being ready for WWIII, so I feel like a sucker for caring too much about it.

     We have literal generals at the top of our command opening up back channel comms with their analagous officers in china to make sure nobody thinks real war is in the cards. Kind of tells me they see it as a scare tactic for gullible normies

     It's worse than you think, China's been hamstringing the American navy for example by selling them shitty steel which rusts in the ocean so you're having brand new extremely expensive prototypes just disintegrating. Other countries don't even need to fire a shot because the west is that incompetent, also lots of problems with espionage. Here in the UK for example the spying problem is so bad you've got Chinese students being stalked at their universities because the UK government just turns a blind eye to it all which is fucked because they can't attend their studies safely.
     
     All America is good for is knocking over third world countries with militias that only have AK47s and RPGs, even then they still manage to fuck that up.

     @lethn @Terry Which is why I don't care much when our normies huff and puff about chinese spying. If they're too chickenshit to keep up the anti-chink espionage unit for fear of being called racist, then how am I to take any of it seriously?

     Seems like kayfabe to me, at least in their minds. The real question is whether they're correct about the probability of war. Behind closed doors, I think they all - on both sides - would laugh and put the chances of WWIII around 1 % at most. But maybe in reality it's more, they're just too dumb to see it.

     But, like trying to stifle a vomit reflex, they have a lot of control over the process until deeper nerves revolt and overpower that attempt

     No I'm not trying to do anything, just laying out the reality of the situation because the foreign intelligence agencies are ferreting around universities looking to tech to steal
