     This is exactly what young people do in countries with TV licences. They buy projectors and computers. Very few people under 40 deliberately own TVs.
     
     The result is that state TV companies are dying and governments are considering making it a "household charge" or a "device charge."

     I would recommend a Monitor with Freesync high refresh rate 75-90hz , HDMI + VGA + Displayport

     Its better quality
     its not a TV
     its not 'smart'
     it doesnt have android on it

     I would recommend getting rid of everything smart

     phones
     alarm clocks
     tvs
     washing machines
     etc

     Even cars that have onboard chips and wifi/blue-tooth

     Also replace fire smoke alarm with non wifi/non smart

     and replace outside breaker power fuses with non smart/older analogue

     Smart = State Surveillance

     Yeah, you can't use smart TVs as a monitor over here because they count as a TV and you need to get a licence. I just use a monitor my friend was throwing out years back.

     I have a smartphone but I leave it turned off most of the time and don't carry it around. I need it for 2fa.

     Only thing i'd add is if you see a monitor with those specs that is also IPS that fits in your budget go for it.

     In Australia you can pickup 24-27" IPS 74hz for AUD$135 to $215

     better then a ((( SMART TV)))

     I read a study years ago that our eyes dont see above 95hz anyway

     I find these 144/165/200hz screens pointless

     In Canada they're about $125-150 CAD. But sometimes deals are great. I picked up my 27" 165hz IPS on sale for $360 CAD recently and if I wanted to settle for 24" and 144hz I could have been down to $200 CAD.

     My first 144hz screen was my favorite purchase of the last decade until recently. Studies have also said we can't notice frame rates above 30 FPS so take studies with a grain of salt.
