   I’ve been increasingly careful not to use “nigga” even as a joke when I realized I’m inadvertantly contributing to the negrification of the kids’ vocabulary when they visit. It used to be ironic and all, but they don’t have the base knowledge required to get it.

   I want everyone in the family to be distinct from the rest, when people meet them. There’s something very classy when people realize “wow, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him swear”, already, and soon enough it’ll be “yeah he talk old-fashioned” just because we don’t take up the bussin’ nigga shit, nah’m’sayin’?

     @PixelBillion Hard R is totally acceptable in the home, I just gate it because it’s hard to expect the kids to be able to contain it at school. I’ll let them get their Nwordpass when they turn like, 13 or so

     “Nigga” is very diff. in that it’s a negrified replacement for ‘dude’

     @WashedOutGundamPilot A good way to catch yourself using negro speak is to change your internal monologue to Dr. Murdoch. Every “what up nigga” naturally turns into “How’s it going my nigger.”

     Of course, when reading you should always change it to fit the text written. If you’re finding to many baboon voices in your head it’s a subconscious reminder that you’re probably reading drivel.
