@TrevorGoodchild @VikingWays True. Turkey is a country with 1/3 (kurds) of its population looking to split off and and that won't change. Everyone around them hates them and wants a piece of them because turks took it from them. To keep turkey united, to keep it existing is a herculean task and a very dirty one too. One mistake and poof the country of turkey is no more. Its the reason turkey has never been careless with Greece even when we were at our lowest. What if they lose? What if? So they only act when they're 110% sure. Only attacked Cyprus when the brits said theyll stay out of it and the americans assured them Papadopoulos is overthrown and the cia asset Ioanidis is installed. And even then, after 2 invasions, the second one, the real one, under the much celebrated democracy post junta btw, they only took a part of Cyprus and not all.
Turkey will NEVER jump the gun or take a side before its the absolute safest option. Not after ww1 where they almost lost everything.- Kenny Blankenship likes this.

So essentially they are the sad, remnants of the Ottoman Empire clinging to relevancy through treachery. That was a bit wordy, I'll work on it. Kenny Blankenship likes this. -
