d (deprecated_ii@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 12-Sep-2024 20:29:48 JST d a large majority of gamers care more about performance (playability) than graphics so why are all the game-related tech companies focused on graphics? particularly console manufacturers with fixed hardware and game companies that struggle to deliver 60 fps on it
I'm sure they have a reason, and the only one that comes to mind is maybe they're trying to dazzle dipshit investors who don't play games but will watch a little movie presentation showing off the graphics- Weaf :jv::nv: likes this.

Weaf :jv::nv: (weaf@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 12-Sep-2024 20:32:38 JST Weaf :jv::nv: @deprecated_ii My theory is it's because it makes the trailers look good. The average gamer is actually pretty superficial when it comes to appearances and the first complaint I get when recommending a classic is "it looks old". -

Normies get out, ree! :akko_gun: Seriously anyone who thinks like that is missing out. Many games can’t compare to older stuff, within reason I suppose.
