As a kid on the C64 this load sequence meant top shelf, best of the best. It also meant uncopyable.

I honestly think as kids the gauntlet being thrown down with copy protection was more fun to “win” than the game itself. Some copy protection schemes were crazy. I recall pitching in with my friends to buy a copy of FastHackem. Good times. Still my Final cartridge and action Replay carts. (IMHO some of the best hard earned kid money ever spent)
