Wokeshit has caused so much brainrot about race. The left's standard tactic of being against "racism," as they define it, and then declaring everything else as "Nazi," may reap short-term political benefits, but in the long run is extremely socially corrosive. National Socialism's extreme racialism is not interchangeable with all other pre-Civil Rights racial attitudes, and there's a lot of diversity of opinion and nuance that gets shredded.
Right now there really isn't a good traditional Christian moral framework for race. There's progressive "Christians" trying to use loaded language to browbeat everyone into accepting their radicalism, but not really a real solid counterargument. Leftover late 19th and early 20th Century Social Darwinism is not a real moral framework, and is itself materialist and reductionist. The actual Bible touches on race and ancestry a lot, and what it actually has to say doesn't cleanly align with modern racial politics. Someone should really write a modern commentary on the subject to provide clarity on the subject.

@ArdainianRight an alliance church i used to live near use the community tithe to import ethiopian christians to our neighborhood. instead of promoting the good of the people, they would use the congregation's resources to house/clothe/feed africans, teach them to drive cars, get jobs, babysit their children, etc. by the time i left, there were hundreds of black africans in our american mountain town. i'm sure there's only more now.
if that isn't evil, idk what is.

@db There's nothing in traditional Christianity which demands that. There's lots of better ways to show compassion for the less fortunate than that.
-
@ArdainianRight
Christianity disclaims race
-
@amerika
It rejects racial supremacy and preaches compassion towards all peoples, but it's a lot more pragmatic than woke stuff in terms of how it applies this ideal.

@db Note that in the Old Testament, they allowed Edomites and Egyptians to be admitted into the community of the Lord after three generations of assimilation, but did not allow admission at all for the Moabites and Ammonites. You are allowed to have laws for immigration and naturalization, and they are allowed to account for cultural compatibility and nation of origin.

@db
In general moderns just cherrypick a few lines that fit their preferred ideology as opposed to trying to separate themselves from the spirit of the age to get full understanding.

@ArdainianRight this is a big problem with christianity. it looks at stories about a different people, that may or may not be true, from thousands of years ago, and tries to twist them to fit a modern narrative. they will justify the demise at their own communities with a story passage about the moabites, or some other irrelevant thing, and then spit out the bible passage number as if that makes everything ok. it's like they literally turn off their brains with this ritual.
it's not a wonder that christianity is on a downfall: they've been squandering their resources to replace themselves with incompatible people. it's a shame. jesus must demand quantity over quality.

@db Christian compassion and mercy do not have to come at the expense of a cohesive and functioning society. Modern multiculturalism is an imperial ideology, not a Christian one.
-
@db The white world nowadays is functionally atheist, unfortunately.
-
@ArdainianRight tell that the rest of the christian world, because i don't think they're on the same page as you.
