     @pawlicker Its because you disabled Hyper threading

     Which was basically a fake extra core

     So it basically halfed the performance

     Problem is AMD has PSP
     which is the same thing

     Thus the only real secure forward solution is Risc-V

     @charliebrownau the meltdown patches and the latest exploits I heard moved data centers off Intel. They lost a lot of performance.

     Skylake/Kaby Lake have a separate meltdown style flaw that also shits on performance.

     I've had no problem updating and using any linux distribution until I installex 6.x, all the drivers have odd compiling errors, random crashes, and just all together random incompatibility errors.
