     Also I find it cool that he’s into rugs. A good, quality, lasting rug can be handed down for generations.

     @SpaceElf @yockeypuck Yeah, foot traffic is killer. If I had one in the family worth keeping, I’d relegate it to the reception room (hopefully the main fam home has it) and the dining room, where it’s guarded by chairs.

     I wouldn’t know, all mine are hand-me down chinese crap

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @yockeypuck I’ve got all my grand-dad’s rugs still. I’m really not sure that a rug is going to last generationally, though. The one that gets a lot of foot traffic is starting to look pretty sorry, despite it being rotated and cleaned regularly.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @yockeypuck I genuinely don't know that a rug is going to last 30 years tbh. Maybe if they're hung up as wall decor. I've done that with a couple and they weather it just fine. (Some of my walls are pretty thin, so I use it to dampen noise.)
