I do know of people in BDSM communities that have engaged in race play under the concept of kink as trauma processor. And that has worked for them!      @errante @marine @bless @netdoll Implications for society? Yes. That form of trauma should not need to be processed. The fact remains that abuse is very real, and kink can be highly effective at processing it. Age play is often engaged in for similar reasons.

I should have clarified the prior statement in that regard. The societal implications I mentioned relate to degradation and not kink in and of itself. And degradation can be enjoyable too. I don’t gatekeep kink and sex of a risk-aware consensual nature. Apologies that I phrased the above poorly.
