Even the successful ones with a decent amount of content just milk Patreons/Subscribestar backers (in this case Kickstarter backers) for years until they have had enough and stop funding them, then they start up another promising project and milk that until people stop giving them money.
     
     Summertime Saga makes 82k a month and has made almost nothing for the past couple years.

     @coolboymew NLT's games are grindy as hell but they're RPGM so you can just cheat in items with save editors. Really good if you like 3DCG. Siren's stuff is really good if you like 2D MILF stuff. I'll DM some more recommendations later.
