people actually play raid shadow legends?

Nah, just plain evil.
Whatever else he might've been, Bill Hicks was absolutely right about advertisers and marketers. I extend this to sponsors, too.
-
@Hoss @sun @echo I used to be in the "youtube creator? Get a real job" camp decades ago, but, shrug, I guess the sponsors are a necessary evil now. I suppose it's better than your usual cocacola corp shit, where they can actually afford to skip the creators and use the advert system instead
-
Apparently some people really do, because the checks they cut creators for sponsorships are insane. Can't hate on the hustle when it comes to content grifters I like, I'd do the same. I have SponsorBlock so I don't even notice the sponsor segments.
-
@sun I once saw someone on y.t. playing it just to show how shit it really was.
I also saw a sponsored segment for it (that SponsorBlock hadn't caught yet) in an AVGN video. The irony of that was kind of bitter tasting.

@echo @Hoss @sun Not sure what he said, the big usual ads buyers on youtube are truly the absolute worst scums and some of the "final bosses of the internet" that we need to eliminate
But the corps actually doing the sponsorships in general aren't these, they're usually much smaller than some random mega corps and has nowhere near the clout to be that level of undesirables
