For example, I created a text file "signed_example.txt":
$ cat signed_example.txt
but doctor, i am death.
I then signed that msg, and armored it:
$ gpg --sign -a signed_example.txt
This created a file "example.txt.asc":
$ cat signed_example.txt.asc
