   @crunklord420 you shortly mentioned this some time ago but I dont think I fully understood. What exactly is this string on your profile? Is it basically a PGP signature? Meaning people that have your public key can verify that you signed this with your private key?

     You could put "D9E72FDAE14995FAC2BF6F1C1B4F343AE0612080" on your profile if you wanted, but I don't understand what you hope to achieve with that.
     
     If someone took that fingerprint and fetched the associated key the encrypted result would only be readable by Crunk's private key, which isn't shared.

     The fingerprint is the last derivative part, it's just a quick way to specify which key you're talking about in a slightly more human readable format. You would still need Crunk's full public key, posted above, and once you have it you could reference it by fingerprint.

     @0 @crunklord420 Thanks, the video was very nice! But i still sort of don't get it. If I take the fingerprint from crunk's profile and put it on mine, claiming I am him, won't the fingerprint still be valid?

     @crunklord420 @0 Ok but i dont get, is this just a string you add to your profile? if so, why cant someone copy this string to their profile? Maybe it's a dumb question, but I don't get how it is supposed to work exactly.
