The first three games are literally released in 1997 (though the first one was completed in 1995 so he had time between the 2nd and 3rd, but still), with the first two being August and the third being December. The following fourth and fifth games got released the next year in August and December respectively!
If ZUN continued releasing mainline games with that pace since EoSD (so starting with 2002, and didn't take a year-long break for Mountain of Faith nor did he switch to a bi-yearly schedule in Ten Desires) we would've already seen the 49th Project Shrine Maiden last Sunday! :gyate_patchouli_wow:
Obviously this is a release schedule more insane than Game Freak does for Pokemon so this is very unrealistic lol :chuckling_okuu:
