@neauoire @d6 @alderwick For CMOS, the overhead means you don't actually save any energy. It's one of the candidates for "beyond CMOS" technologies.
Another problem is that the one you have been discussing: if your algebra has an annihilator, your computation is not reversible. So basically we would need to compute and program in quite a different way.
