   @orangelantern @Metamedia Well, their cognition of which groups are "degenerate" isn't just based on who's easy to prey on, but yes, it generally aligns, since they prefer to construct imagined history based on very recent societal periods. It's actually pretty interesting. They associate all this mid-20th century morality with, for example, ancient Vedic civilization. And protestantism. Truly the most Aryan religion.

     @hermit @Metamedia It does and it isn’t the same ofc I just wanted to point out that being trans seen by asshats as something insulting has been around. Which doesn’t make it better in the least. Quite the opposite. It’s also a bit more than ignorance, bc it speaks to deeply ingrained transphobia already present.
     
     I think the „trans panic“ in the US atm also fuels that to new heights. Nazis like to prey on groups that already have been made vulnerable by society.
